Get Foreign Clients Using AI

How to Get Foreign Clients Using AI — 3 Simple Methods That Actually Work (2026)

Learn 3 proven AI methods to get foreign clients from USA, UK and Canada.

You have learned the skill. You are working hard. But the clients you are getting in India pay ₹5,000 for a project that someone in the USA would pay ₹50,000 for.

That is a 10x difference — for the same work.

The problem is not your skill. The problem is who you are reaching out to and how you are doing it.

Most freelancers in India do the same thing. They create a Fiverr account, build a few gigs, send proposals on Upwork, and then wait. Days pass. Weeks pass. Maybe one low-paying project comes. But the foreign clients they dream about? They never seem to respond.

Here is the truth — it is not because foreign clients do not want to hire from India. Thousands of them do, every single day. The issue is that your approach looks exactly like everyone else’s approach. Your message gets lost in a sea of “Hi, I am a web developer with 3 years of experience.” Nobody reads that. Nobody responds to that.

The way to stand out is simple — be specific, be personal, and offer real value before asking for anything.

And this is where AI comes in.

AI tools like Claude can help you write messages that feel personal to each client. They can analyze a business’s website in minutes and tell you exactly what is broken. They can help you write proposals that actually address what the client is worried about — not just what you want to tell them.

The result? You spend the same amount of time, but your outreach quality goes from average to excellent.

In this post, I am going to walk you through 3 methods to get foreign clients using AI. Each method has a step-by-step guide and a ready-to-use prompt that you can copy, fill in your details, and use right now.

These are the same methods I teach in my WordPress course and share with my students. They are not complicated. They do not require a big portfolio or years of experience. They just require consistency and a willingness actually to do the work.

If you prefer to watch and learn, I have explained the full process in the video below. You can watch that first and then come back to use the prompts.

Now let’s get into the step-by-step guide.

Method 1 — LinkedIn Outreach Using AI

Most people send the same generic LinkedIn message to everyone. That is why they get ignored. This method is different — you research each person and use AI to write a message that is specific to them.

Step 1 — Find the Right People on LinkedIn

Go to LinkedIn. In the search bar, type something like:

“Small business owner” or “Founder” + USA / UK / Canada / Australia

Then apply these filters:

Connections: 2nd connections

Industry: Health, Real Estate, Retail, Law, or Interior Design

These industries have a strong demand for websites and SEO. Business owners in these fields are also used to paying for professional services.

Step 2 — Read Their Profile Carefully

Before sending any message, spend 3–4 minutes on their profile. Look for:

What kind of business do they run?

    Have they posted anything recently?

Do they have a website? Is it good or outdated?

Any specific achievement or challenge they mentioned?

The more you notice about them, the better your message will be.

Step 3 — Use This Prompt in Claude AI

Open Claude (claude.ai) and paste this prompt with your details filled in:

    PROMPT — LinkedIn Connection Message

I am a [your skill — e.g., WordPress developer / SEO expert] from India. I want to send a LinkedIn connection request to a business owner.

    Their details:

    Name: [their name]

Business: [type of business — e.g., dental clinic, gym, real estate agency]

    Location: [city, country]

Their LinkedIn bio says: [paste their About section]

Recent post topic (if any): [what they posted about]

Website: [their website URL, or write “they don’t have one”]

    Please write:

A connection request message — max 250 characters. Start with something genuine about their work. Do not use “Hope this finds you well” or “I came across your profile.”

A follow-up message to send after they accept — around 120 words. Mention one specific issue I noticed on their website or online presence. Offer a free 15-minute call to discuss it. Tone should be helpful and friendly, not pushy.

Step 4 — Follow Up at the Right Time

After they accept your connection, here is the timing to follow:

Day 1 — Send the follow-up message Claude wrote for you

Day 3 — Send a short value message. Example: “I checked your website and noticed your contact page is not loading properly on mobile. Happy to take a look if you want.”

Day 7 — Send a short proposal or a link to book a 15-minute call

If there is no response after 4 attempts over a few weeks, move on. Do not waste time on people who are not interested. There are thousands more to reach.

Method 2 — Find Struggling Businesses on Google and Send a Helpful Email

This is the method with the highest response rate. You are not asking for work. You are saying: “I found a specific problem in your business, and I can help fix it.” That is a very different conversation.

Step 1 — Search Google for Foreign Businesses That Need Help

Open Google and search something like:

“best dentist in Austin Texas” “top wedding planner in London” “real estate agent Toronto website”

Go to Page 2, 3, or 4 of the results. The businesses on these pages have websites that are not ranking well on Google. That means their SEO is weak. That means they need help. That means there is an opportunity for you.

Step 2 — Use This Prompt to Audit Their Website

Open their website. Copy the text from the homepage. Then open Claude and use this prompt:

    PROMPT — Website Audit

I am a [WordPress developer / SEO expert] and I want to reach out to this business.

Business name: [name] Business type: [e.g., dental clinic, law firm, gym] Location: [city, country]

    Here is their homepage content:

[paste the text from their homepage here]

    Please give me:

The top 3 SEO problems that are hurting their Google ranking. Use simple language — explain it like you are talking to a business owner, not a developer.

The top 2 website problems that affect how visitors experience the site.

One specific suggestion to help them get more calls or bookings from their website.

Keep the audit clear and factual. Not salesy.

Step 3 — Use This Prompt to Write the Cold Email

Now use Claude again to write the outreach email:

    PROMPT — Cold Email

Write a cold email for this business owner.

Business name: [name] Business type: [e.g., dental clinic] Location: [city, country] Owner’s name (if you found it): [name or write “Business Owner”]

Problems I found on their website:

    [paste audit point 1]

    [paste audit point 2]

    [paste audit point 3]

I offer: [WordPress development / SEO services / website redesign] My portfolio: [your portfolio link]

    Write an email that:

Has a subject line that mentions their business name and creates curiosity

Starts with one genuine compliment about their business (not the website)

Mentions only ONE problem I found — not all three

Offers a free 15-minute call to discuss it

Ends with a simple question to start the conversation

    Stays under 180 words

Does not start with “I hope this email finds you well”

Does not use words like “passionate” or “dedicated”

Step 4 — Find Their Email Address

Check the footer of their website or their Contact page. If you cannot find it, go to Hunter.io — it is a free tool. Enter their website domain and it will find the email address for you. Free plan gives you 25 searches per month.

Method 3 — Upwork With a Smarter Strategy

Upwork works — but only if you use it the right way. Most people send 20 copy-paste proposals a day and get nothing back. The better approach is to send 3 well-researched proposals that actually speak to what the client wants.

Step 1 — Use the Right Filters

On Upwork, search for jobs and apply these filters:

Category: WordPress, Web Development, or SEO

Client location: USA, UK, Canada, or Australia

Client history: Has hired before (most important filter)

    Payment: Verified

    Budget: $300 or more

    Posted: Last 24 hours

The “Has hired before” filter is critical. It means this client has already worked with international freelancers. They are not going to reject you just because you are from India.

Step 2 — Use This Prompt to Analyze the Job

Copy the full job description. Open Claude and use this prompt:

    PROMPT — Job Post Analysis

Here is a job posting on Upwork:

[paste the full job description here]

    Please tell me:

What is the client’s real problem or goal? Go deeper than what they literally wrote.

What specific skills matter most to this client?

What are they probably afraid of? (e.g., bad communication, missed deadlines, wasted money)

What would make a proposal stand out for this specific job?

Write me one opening line for my proposal that shows I understood their problem. Do not start with “I am a developer” or “I have X years of experience.”

Step 3 — Use This Prompt to Write the Proposal

    PROMPT — Upwork Proposal

Using the analysis above, write a full Upwork proposal.

    My background:

Skills: [your skills — be specific]

One relevant past project: [what did you do and what was the result?]

One measurable result: [e.g., improved page speed from 9 seconds to 2 seconds]

Write the proposal with this structure:

Line 1: Use the opening line you suggested

Paragraph 1: Show I understand their exact situation

Paragraph 2: My approach to solving their specific problem

Paragraph 3: One brief result from a past project

Closing: Ask one smart question about their project

Keep it under 220 words. Do not use words like “passionate,” “dedicated,” or “I would love to work with you.” Write like a confident professional, not someone begging for a job.

    Final Thoughts

All three methods work. But none of them work if you try them once and give up.

The simple rule is this — reach out to 10 people every day. Give it 30 days. Track everything in a Google Sheet. Follow up properly.

At the end of 30 days, if you have been consistent, you will have your first foreign client. Possibly more than one.

The AI prompts above will save you hours of work. But the consistency has to come from you.
